7thingsmedia launch Affiliate Manager Plus

At 7thingsmedia we've spent much time - and some late nights - working on a new project that, I'm delighted to say, will be announced at the affiliate a4uexpo conference - in front of the whole affiliate industry - in London today.

That project is our own custom-built software: Affiliate Manager Plus.

Affiliate Manager Plus is an affiliate management dashboard to be used by your account managers. It will accumulate data from the networks at the touch of a button, allowing reports to come together instantly. Compiling bulletproof information and insight, offering conclusive and measurable reporting around campaign performance, margin, gap analysis, and affiliates - instantly. I've attached an overview which goes into more detail.

Initially, the software will be used internally; only for clients. Here's the launch video which demonstrates its ability and value -

For more information please visit - AffiliateManagerPlus.com or contact the team at 7thingsmedia on 020 7017 3190.

Any questions about this, or generally, as ever don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks, Chris

7thingsmedia represented at A4UExpo

7thingsmedia's Key Account Manager Fiona Gandy, and Performance Director David McDermott will take to their respective stages at October’s A4U Expo London to enlighten attendees on key areas of the performance marketing industry.

Fi's session entitled - Success, sales and style: getting the best from fashion affiliates - will give fashion brands insights on how to correctly use Affiliate Marketing to progress the brand and maximise sales - naturally with a careful eye on ensuring that the right type of affiliates are on board.  Fi has been behind many of our successful fashion affiliate programmes at 7thingsmedia including Agent Provocateur, Liberty London and Ted Baker.

Fi's session at A4U London Expo is at 9.30 – 10.30 on day two (19 October, 2011).

David's session is later on that day were he will introduce the point of diminishing return within affiliate marketing, and particularly wider performance channels for his session entitled: The Digital Mix and the Point of Diminishing Return .

David's session is a must for all data minded Marketing Managers

The questions of where to invest and what is the most efficient channel are posed, and David will reason over this relationship relative to a brand’s marketing strategy.

This session at A4U London Expo is at 4 – 5pm on day two (19 October, 2011).

Thanks, Chris

Unbelievable Tekkers

I'm really excited to be part of a new lifestyle fashion brand - Tekkers.  I've joined the board in a non-executive capacity to aid their Ecommerce operations, marketing and PR.

The Tekkers apparel range derived from the phrase “Unbelievable Tekkers” a recent entry to the Urban Dictionary meaning unbelievable technique and a phrase coined by Ansah in Wayne Rooney's Street Striker on Sky and featured on Sky's Soccer AM.

Those of you who know me will understand the appeal of the project as it brings together two strong passions - Marketing and Football.

The brand already has a strong following due to Andy's exposure on Wayne Rooney's Street Striker and weekly appearances on the Cult TV programme Soccer AM with the Unbelievable Tekkers T-Shirt. Working with the team at Tekkers our main objective will be to scale Tekkers presence on and offline therefore realising the brands as a fashion retailer.

The Tekkers website is already live and trading well for a 12 week old dot com company, with the current long and short sleeve t-shirts and hoodies with womenswear and accessories due mid-summer. The next objective will be to set our marketing strategy and execute across all the various channels.

I'll aim to keep this blog up-to-date as we begin our Unbelievable Tekkers journey to create a global lifestyle brand.

More to follow...

Thanks, Chris

Best Affiliate Agency

On Tuesday night 7thingsmedia were delighted to pick up the prestigious Best Agency award at the A4Uawards 2011.

7thingsmedia best affiliate agency 7thingsmedia named best affiliate agency

The awards ceremony – attended by 700 advertisers, agencies, publishers, and networks and hosted by comedian Rufus Hound – is the pinnacle event of our industry, rewarding standout individuals and businesses, entrepreneurialism and teamwork.

Described as “a breath of fresh air in the agency space” by one judge, beat off competition from traditional agencies such as Arena Quantum and Bigmouthmedia.

The judging panel of industry experts drawn from Yahoo! BSKYB and New Media Age also noted it was our “innovative, entrepreneurial approach” which made it a clear decision for them.

Picking up an award in our second full year of trading is a great achievement for the team and solidifies the fact that we’re competing with the established industry players.

One key feature of 7thingsmedia’s success in the past year is our continual investment in our team, fostering an internal culture of ambition and dedication.

As an agency, we will continue to build on these solid foundations and the momentum of the award will ensure we maintain our impressive streak of accomplishments.

Congratulations to goviral

Last week I met an old TradeDoubler colleague of mine who was smiling from ear to ear.  I met goviral Managing Director Luke Aviet who happily took me through the recent AOL acquisition of goviral.

Other ex-TD'ers are involved in goviral include CEO René Rechtman - who I met briefly during my time there - and also the dynamic Nick Roveta.

I visited Luke to pass on my congratulations of the acquisition and to take inspiration from a fantastic success story for buddies of mine.

Congrats again Luke, Nick and the goviral team.
